About Me

My name is Luyang Fang, and I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biostatistics at the Yale School of Public Health, working with Professor Yize Zhao. I received my Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Georgia, where I worked in the Big Data Analytics Lab under the supervision of Professor Ping Ma and Professor Wenxuan Zhong. I received my M.S. in Statistics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2021. My research interests include statistical machine learning, deep learning, large language models (LLMs), nonparametric modeling, Bayesian statistics, big data analytics, bioinformatics, electronic health records, and AI-enhanced educational assessment.
